14.7%. Democracy is on life support in McHenry County. Early and mailed ballots were about half of the total vote:
To win a seat former McHenry County Board member will have to have at least 850 write-in votes.
Incumbent Frank McClatchey lost, while incumbent Andy Davis was re-elected. Ward 1 was an open seat with Victor Santi retiring.
Here are the early vote totals: Not much difference.
Incumbent Joshua Hagen was re-elected along with newcomers JD Sylvanus and Keith Lee Von Allman. Incumbent Beth Foreman was not re-elected.
Jeremy Miller, Janine Martin, Ryan Andrus and Nicholas Johnson were victorious. Miller and Andrus currently serve on the Board. So does Lanz, but he placed out of the running. Newcomers are Martin and Johnson.
Incumbent Nicole Pavoris ran first. Coming in second was Elizabeth Lund. Third place winner was David Jenkins. Gaining the fourth seat is Ryan Olson. The Crystal Lake teachers union endorsed The union batted .750, much better than Crystal Lake’s Grade School union.
Incumbents Alex Johnson, Laura Vnaderploeg and Dave Gutierrez remain on the Board to be joined by newcomer Leigh Ann Comerford.
We the People, McHenry County, which holds meetings in Cary, endorsed David Miller and Zac Glaysher.
Re-elected were Board members Todd Volkening, David Schultz and Shane Spring. Newcomer Jodie Kanaly rounds out the winners. Active Democrat Peter Janko ran out of the money.
