 Motorcyclist Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 14

On Friday, July 25, 2025, at 2:09 p.m., the Cary Fire Protection District and Cary Police Department responded to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of W. Northwest Highway (Route 14) and Feinberg Drive in Cary.

Paramedics arrived on scene within two minutes and located a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

The adult male motorcyclist was found lying in the roadway.

A medical helicopter was initially placed on standby as a precaution, but after a rapid assessment by paramedics, it was determined that the patient’s condition did not warrant air transport.

The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the passenger vehicle involved declined medical treatment at the scene.

Westbound Route 14 was closed during the incident to allow emergency crews to operate safely. The Cary Police Department is handling the crash investigation. Any additional questions regarding the cause of the crash, fault, seat belt use, or speed should be directed to their office.
