It was raining by the time the contingent representing the McHenry County Democratic Party made it down the hill on Dole Avenue Sunday afternoon.
But before the parade began I ran into Evanston Mayor and former State Senator Dan Biss looking for he Democrats.
I took his photo and it probably good timing, since I didn’t see him march in the rain with the other Democrats.

A banner for Amin Karim, running for the second time for McHenry County Treasurer was near the front of the Democrat contingent.

There was a rainbow flag.

11th District Congressman Bill Foster undoubtedly got soaked as he walker in the rain waving an American Flag.

Supporters of State Senator Laura Fine to replace Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky wore tee shirts and carried signs.

State Rep. Sue Ness supporters were passing out candy.

McHenry County Board member Campball had supporters carrying a banner.

Supporters of State Senator to replace Jan Schkowsky were in the parade.

Nearing the end of the marchers were these folks. Note the donkey puppet and Sue Ness, wearing a floppy hat.

Terry Kappel carried a sign for McHenry County Board member Gloria Von Hof.

The parade ended with clear skies.

On my way to the Methodist Church parking lot, I found a man wearing a tee shirt not complimentary to the Democratic Parry.

The sunshine did not last.
To return to my home in Lakewood, drove around Crystal Lake instead of waiting for the parade to give me access via Dole Avenue.
Route 176 was deluged with rain.
