A salary comparison of the Thornton Township Supervisor with other elected officials and holding more than one paid elected office simultaneously, political-double-dipping.

Thornton Township Supervisor $282,812.

Illinois Governor $181,670.

Lieutenant Governor $67,836.

Secretary of State $160,800.

Attorney General $160,800.

Cook County President $250,000.

Base Salary State Representative/Senato $89,250.

Salary Speaker of the House $233,500.

Senate President $204,500. 

President of the United States $480,654.

Vice President of the United States $243,749.

United States Supreme Court Justices $274,000 to $299,000.

Senator Napoleon Harris, who makes a lawmaker’s base salary of $89,250, was elected as the Thornton Township Supervisor on May 19th, 2025.

Senator Harris will now collect the Thornton Township taxpayer funded supervisor salary of $282,812 in addition to his taxpayer funded state paycheck of $89,000, a total of $372,062 plus thousands more in benefits.

The former Thornton Township Supervisor, Tiffany Henyard, received $4,900 for monthly expenses and $1,000 per month for vehicle expenses plus other benefits from the township. 

Senator Napoleon Harris became a shameful taxpayer funded political-double-dipper on May 19th, 2025 when he was elected the Thornton Township Supervisor, joining many other past and present General Assembly political-double-dipping members.

Illinois’ township government office holders are a Political-Tar-Pit of taxpayer funded Double-Dipping supporters backed by the Springfield based Township Officials of Illinois.
