Incident: Possession Child Pornography

At approximately 5:15 a.m., the Harvard Police Department arrested Jeswin Hiteroza, a resident of Harvard, following a joint investigation with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.

The arrest came after Hiteroza was found to be in possession of child pornography files.

In April 2025, law enforcement officials received information indicating that Hiteroza was actively sharing child sexual abuse material online.

Based on this information, investigators developed sufficient evidence to obtain a search warrant, and arrest warrant which was executed at Hiteroza’s residence.

During the search, computer hardware and other electronic devices were seized.

In collaboration with the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, the Harvard Police Department has charged Hiteroza with fifteen (15) counts of Child Pornography – Reproduce or Distribute – victim under 13.

The Harvard Police Department gratefully acknowledges the Illinois Attorney General’s Office for its significant assistance throughout this investigation, as well as the Woodstock Police Department for its support during the execution of the search warrant.

This case underscores the strong, collaborative relationships among regional law enforcement agencies and their shared commitment to safeguarding our communities.

Arrest and Charges:

Jeswin Hiteroza (M, 19) – Harvard, Illinois

  • Arrest Warrant for fifteen (15) counts Child Pornography – Reproduce or Distribute –
    victim under 13 – Class X Felony.

Transported to McHenry County Jail in lieu of bond.

The public is reminded individuals arrested or charged is not evidence of guilt and that all defendants in a criminal case are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
