“Save Our Libraries” Roadside Rally

WHEN: Friday June 20th, 2025 — 3:00 to 5:00 pm
WHERE: McHenry Public Library, 809 Front Street (Route 31), McHenry
Please RSVP to Indivisible McHenry County on Mobilize.
The library will be closed for a staff training during the time of our protest rally, so ample parking will available in the library’s parking lot.
Indivisible McHenry County is hosting this “Save Our Libraries” roadside rally to protest the Trump administration’s dismantling of the IMLS (Institute of Museum and Library Services) and to show support for all libraries. Elimination of the IMLS puts libraries in Illinois and elsewhere at risk of losing very important programs and services that they offer to the public. Some libraries in rural areas may have to close completely.
