Having found that another double-dipper, Bob Anderson seeks a hard-charger:
Open Letter to the Illinois Governor, Members of the Illinois General Assembly and Township Officials of Illinois, TOI:
We have a broken double-dipping political system.
Why are state representatives, senators, township officials and mayors able to lawfully hold multiple elected offices, double-dipping?
This is disgusting and bad conduct, should be illegal and should be a top issue to put an end to those who are “gaming the system” for personal gain.
For example: Chris Getty who is the Lyons Township supervisor and also the Mayor of the Village of Lyons.
He “earned” $69,902 as supervisor and $82,902 as mayor plus taxpayer funded benefits.
Chris Getty is the worst of the worst.
Getty, an insurance broker, is also a candidate for Illinois’ 4th Congressional District.
He has raised over $400,000 since entering the race.
Contributor connections include jobs on the Lyons Township or the Lyons Village payrolls, over which Getty has authority as supervisor and mayor.
The villages’ police chief, fire chief building and directors of its parks departments and a director of the townships’ Mental Health Commissioner.
These donors, as well as double-dippers, are the “What’s in it for me people”, that support political “Conflicts of interests” and, most of all, have no “Shame”.
Illinoisans deserve better!
