| I walked into my local polling place on the very first morning of early voting, ready to cast my ballot. Instead, I was turned away. Election judges told me the system was down due to “technical difficulties.” The voter-registration software was glitching, displaying wrong birth dates for voters, and some affected ballots were missing candidates entirely. To make matters worse, when our team asked questions, the clerk’s office offered a completely different story than the one election judges were giving voters on the ground. As a former DuPage County Auditor, I know a red flag when I see one. Voters don’t deserve conflicting excuses, computer glitches, or administrative incompetence. They deserve absolute confidence that when they show up to vote, their ballot is printed correctly, handed to them without delay, and accurately counted. The one-party machine in Springfield and county election authorities want to wave this off as a minor hiccup. I refuse to let them sweep it under the rug. Under my leadership, the Illinois Republican Party is placing trained poll watchers in polling locations, backing election judges, and making sure election officials are held accountable every single day between now and Election Day. |

Organizing this level of oversight takes real resources. It takes volunteer training, precinct operations, and ground teams ready to act the moment a machine fails or a voter is turned away. Thirty-six days remain. We cannot afford confusion, technical “glitches,” or another avoidable failure at the ballot box. |
