Traffic Alert: 8-10 Week Closure of Miller Road at Randall Road Begins Week of August 3
WOODSTOCK, IL – As part of the North Randall Road Project, the west leg of Miller Road at Randall Road will close the week of August 3rd for intersection construction.
The closure is expected to last approximately 8 to 10 weeks and will restrict all movements between Miller Road’s west leg and Randall Road.
Detour signage will be posted to help guide drivers safely through alternate routes.
DETOUR ROUTE:
- Drivers on Randall Road coming from the north should use Ackman
Road as a detour route, taking it to Lakewood Road to reach Miller
Road.
ALTERNATE ROUTE: - Drivers on Randall Road coming from the south should use
Algonquin Road as an alternate route, taking it to Lakewood Road
to reach Miller Road.
Drivers are encouraged to plan and allow extra time when traveling through the area.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to complete critical roadway improvements, including diverting the tributary channel and removing the existing box culvert that crosses Randall Road diagonally at Miller Road.
Once this work is complete, crews will begin constructing the southbound pavement through the intersection and installing the
remaining permanent concrete pavement on Miller Road leading to the bridge.
Local access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the closure.
The project addresses long-standing safety and congestion in this high-traffic corridor and is critical to support economic growth and regional mobility in the Algonquin, Crystal Lake, and Lake in the Hills areas. For ongoing updates, visit randallroad.info.
