Dorr Township assessment notices published
Assessment notices were posted online today for property owners in Dorr Township.
Starting this year, McHenry County is no longer sending mailed assessment notices for properties that are only adjusted by their equalization factor.
County residents can sign up for email and text alerts when their township’s assessments publish.

The explanatory text is as follows:
This year and going forward, McHenry County properties that are only adjusted by their equalization factor will no longer receive a mailed copy of their assessment. The Assessments Office will still mail physical notices for re-evaluations, farmland, and new properties. The County Board made the switch to online assessment notices to save taxpayers more than $65,000 a year in postage costs.
