Child Sexual Abuse Possession Arrest in Lake in the Hills

From Lake in the Hills Police:

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The Lake in the Hills Police Department arrested a suspect Monday, June 15, at his home without incident in connection with possession of child sexual abuse material.

After receiving several Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) tip notifications pertaining to possession of child sexual abuse material, police investigated the tips and confirmed the information to be valid.

On June 15, police responded to the 100 block of Northlight Passe and made contact with the suspect who was taken into custody at 3:26 pm.

Arrested Person: Damon R. Lerch, 41 years of age (M/W), 100 block of Northlight Passe, Lake in the Hills, Illinois

Lerch was later transferred to the McHenry County Jail and charged with the following:

• 720ILCS 5/11-20.1(a)(6) Child Sex Abuse Material/Poss/Computer Victim (Class 2 Felony) (9 Counts)
