Union Pacific to Perform a Temporary Closure of Country Club Road for Railroad Crossing Work
WOODSTOCK, Ill. – The McHenry County Division of Transportation announces that Union Pacific will be performing a temporary closure of Country Club Road at the Union Pacific crossing to allow for necessary repairs.
The closure is scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 11, at 5:00 am and is expected to remain in effect until Thursday, June 18, at 5:00 pm, weather permitting.
Please note: This project is being conducted and managed solely by Union Pacific personnel as dictated by their easements, rather
than by the McHenry County Division of Transportation.
Crews from Union Pacific will be performing maintenance to the railroad crossing surface and tracks.
To facilitate safety for both the workers and motorists, Country Club Road will be closed to all through traffic at the railroad crossing, which is located to the northeast of the Ridgefield Road (County Route A38) and Country Club Road (County Route V25) intersection in downtown Ridgefield.

Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained up to the closure points on either side of the crossing.
A designated detour route will be posted for motorists.
Traffic will be directed to use Country Club Road, Illinois Route 47, and Illinois Route 14 to navigate around the closure.
Motorists should expect delays, allow for extra travel time, and follow all posted detour signs.
