From the Harvard Fie Protection District:
Residential Fire on Windy Hill Road
On May 14, 2026, at 3:15 p.m., the Harvard Fire Protection District responded to the 20400 block of Windy Hill Road in unincorporated Harvard after a homeowner reported a fire on the roof of the residence.

Crews arrived a short time later and observed smoke showing from the two-story home.

Upon further investigation, firefighters located a fire within an exterior wall near electrical wiring, with moderate extension into the interior of the residence.

The resident attempted to extinguish the flames with fire extinguishers prior to firefighters arriving on scene.
Firefighters stretched hose lines and quickly extinguished the fire.

Due to the fire extending through portions of the wall, crews removed siding and sections of interior drywall to confirm all fire had been fully extinguished and to check for any hidden extension.
No injuries were reported.
The home is considered uninhabitable until repairs can be made.
The incident does not appear to be suspicious in nature, but remains under investigation by the Harvard Fire Protection District.
