Crystal Lake Police Obtain Arrest Warrants for Burglary Investigation
Crystal Lake, IL – On Friday, February 20th, at approximately 6:56 a.m., Crystal Lake Police responded
to a burglar alarm at 435 Angela Lane. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a vehicle had smashed through
the glass windows of a closed business,
The Smoke Depot, causing extensive damage to the exterior of the business as well as damaging displays and merchandise within.
No offenders were located on scene and no injuries were reported.
An investigation into the incident was conducted by the Criminal Investigations Unit, which resulted in two suspects being identified.

As a result of the investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for the two suspects.
Victor A. Diaz (24) was charged with Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property over $10,000, and Possession
of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
He was taken into custody on April 14th..
Geneva A. Orive (25) was charged with Burglary. She was taken into custody on April 14th with the
assistance of the Elgin Police Department.
This investigation revealed criminal activity in other law enforcement jurisdictions.
The investigating detective continues to collaborate with other law enforcement agencies on their investigations.
