Former Illinois 11th Congressional District opponents Catalina Lauf and Jim Oberweis are facing off again in Southwest Florida’s 19th District, which is being vacated by Brian Donalds, who is running for Governor.
Lauf and Oberweis were sitting next to each other as the candidates who raised more than $25,000 were seated in alphabetical order.
From left to right were Madison Cawthorn, Lauf, Oberweis, Jim Schwartzel, Mike Pedersen and John Strand.
The primary election is in August.
Lauf said she and her husband had put down an offer on a Cape Coral residence.
Maybe the third time will be the charm for one of the two Illinois ex-pats.
