From the Harvard Fire Protection District:

Two Injured in Route 14 Crash

On March 12, 2026, at 7:24 p.m., the Harvard Fire Protection District responded to the 19000 block of Route 14 in unincorporated Harvard for a reported multi-vehicle crash with unknown injuries.

Firefighters arrived to find two vehicles with heavy damage, with both drivers already out of their vehicles.

No extrication was required.

Due to a second patient and unknown scene logistics, a second ambulance and a chief officer from Woodstock were requested to the scene to assist.

One female driver was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Rockford with serious injuries, while the second female driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Route 14 remained closed in both directions for nearly two hours while crews treated patients and cleared the scene.

The Harvard Fire Protection District appreciates the assistance of the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District for providing additional resources on scene and the Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Protection District for providing station coverage during the incident.
