Arrest Made in Execution of Search Warrant
Lake in the Hills, IL — On Thursday, February 26, shortly before 10 a.m., the Lake in the Hills Police Department along with the Carpentersville Police Department and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office
Multijurisdictional SWAT Team executed a search warrant in the 1400 block of Clayton Marsh Drive, just
east of Randall Road.
The search warrant was part of a joint investigation into illegal activity.
One subject was taken into custody without incident: Joel Fernandez.
Person: Joel Fernandez, 20 years of age (M/W), 1400 block of Clayton Marsh Drive, Lake in the Hills, Illinois
Fernandez was transferred to the McHenry County Jail and charged with the following:
- Four counts of 430 ILCS 65/2(a)(2) Possession of Ammunition – No Valid FOID Card on Person (Class A misdemeanor).
Lake in the Hills residents in the immediate area of the police activity this morning were advised through social media and the Nixle online public alert system to shelter in place as a precautionary measure.
That order was in effect for less than one hour.
