Twenty-four years ago in Hawaii, Republican congressional hopeful John Ellison plead “no contest” top felony theft, according to the Daily Herald.
Continuing, “subsequently was dismissed and the arrest was expunged, public records and legal documents show.”
Ellieon and his wife were running a Christian teen drug and alcohol rehab program and were accused of Food Stamp violations.
The Judge deferred his decision for five years setting requirements, one of which was staying our of trouble. $9,000 in restitution was odered.
Ellieon is now pastor at Arlington Heights” Lakewood Chapel. and has been endorsed by the Chicago Tribune.
