From the Coroner:
McHenry County Coroner, Dr. Michael Rein, announced that his office was contacted on January 15, 2026, by Northwestern Medical McHenry to investigate the death of Ronald Wills of McHenry.
Mr. Wills was a pedestrian and was apparently struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Rt. 120 and N. Meadow Ln. in McHenry.
Mr. Wills was transported to Northwestern Medical in McHenry where he was pronounced deceased. An autopsy is to be completed on January 20, 2026.
The Coroner’s Office is continuing to work collaboratively with McHenry Police Department, McHenry Fire District and Northwestern Medical during this investigation.
