Vehicle accident in the 10300 block of Seeman Road

The Huntley Fire Protection District responded to an accident with injuries on Seeman Road, south of Church Road, in rural Huntley.

Upon arrival, fire crews found a single vehicle with heavy damage after striking a tree.

The incident was upgraded to an extrication response due to the severity of the crash and the condition of the vehicle.

Only one occupant was inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.

One ambulance, two fire apparatus, and a Battalion Chief responded to the scene.

An additional fire apparatus responded to nearby Huntley High School to establish a landing zone for the medical helicopter.

The occupant was extricated from the vehicle by firefighter/paramedics.

Due to the serious injuries and the extended time required to free the patient, care was transferred to the LifeNet medical helicopter for transport to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, a Level I Trauma Center.
