Satnaam Singh Mago (D, unincorporated Wayne) withdrew his candidacy for the 33rd Senate District Democratic primary.
This leaves Michele Clark (D, Algonquin), the Director of Development for the D300 Food Pantry, unopposed and free to raise money while Republicans have a contested primary.
Republican candidates are

- Cody Holt of Elgin (provided Holt stays on the ballot due to petition objections).
