From the State’s Attorney:
HUNTLEY COUPLE CHARGED WITH SEXUAL CONDUCT WITH AN ANIMAL

McHenry County State’s Attorney Randi Freese announced that on November 14, 2025, Efin Nolte, 23, and Katelyn Heiden, 27, of Huntley, Illinois were each arrested by officers from the Huntley Police Department.
Nolte was charged with Sexual Conduct with an Animal and Heiden with Aiding Sexual Conduct with an Animal.
Evidence presented at the Initial Appearance Court hearings showed that the Huntley Police Department obtained a video depicting Nolte engaged in sexual conduct with a dog.
Further investigative efforts revealed that Heiden was present and videotaped Nolte engaged in the act, while at their residence.
Despite the abhorrent nature of these crimes, under the Pretrial Fairness Act, commonly known as the SAFE-T Act, the offense of Sexual Conduct with an Animal is not a detainable offense, and therefore, individuals charged must be released from custody pending trial.
