Join fellow McHenry County residents for an open, interactive discussion on the newly proposed 2026 County Budget!
Recently approved for public review by the County Board on October 21, 2025, this $288.8 million balanced budget includes a $73.8 million property tax levy – a potential 13% increase that’s sparking important conversations about fiscal priorities, cuts, and community needs.
Whether you’re concerned about rising taxes, interested in budget efficiencies, or passionate about funding for services:
Learn: Get a clearer breakdown of key budget highlights, including revenue sources, proposed expenditures, and the ongoing 30-day public review period leading to the final vote on November 19, 2025.
