Don Tracy: Federal Agents Sound the Alarm, “Something Is Going On in Chicago” as Record Number of Weapons are Seized
SPRINGFIELD – Federal agents are seizing record numbers of illegal firearms and contraband weapons moving through Chicago—more in a single month than Los Angeles saw in four. Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino told Fox News, “We have seen more weapons here in Chicago in one month than we did over four months in Los Angeles. Something is going on in Chicago.”

U.S. Senate candidate Don Tracy says that “something” is a result of the experimental, soft-on-crime policies pushed by Democrats in Chicago and Springfield.
“For years, Chicago and Springfield Democrats have advanced a far-left agenda that makes our communities less safe,” said Tracy. “Now federal law enforcement is exposing the consequences: cartel weapons, illegal guns, and trafficked contraband flooding into our neighborhoods. When a top Border Patrol agent says something is going on in Chicago, that’s a wake-up call. We need leadership and collaboration, not political grandstanding. Stop blocking enforcement and start protecting our communities.”
Recent reports from federal authorities indicate that criminal networks are increasingly using Chicago as a hub for trafficking illegal firearms and contraband, a trend that points to broader failures in border and local enforcement cooperation.
