The Lake in the Hills Police Department announces results of Labor Day safety campaign
Lake in the Hills, IL – The Lake in the Hills Police Department successfully conducted an impaired driving
enforcement effort over Labor Day weekend, resulting in two total arrests;
- one for No Valid Driver’s License -Never Issued and
- one for Aggravated Speeding in a Construction Zone.
Additionally, 28 seat belt citations were issued.
Other citations include:
- Speeding: 12
- Electronic Communication Device Usage: 10
- Disregard Traffic Control Signal: 2
- Disregard Traffic Control Device: 1
- No Insurance: 3
- Registration Suspended for No Insurance: 2
- Expired Registration: 1
- Improper Lane Usage: 1
The Lake in the Hills Police Department collaborated with other law enforcement agencies and highway safety partners across the state for the Illinois Labor Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Drive High Get a DUI” campaign.
This effort was part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Drive High Get a DUI” and “Click It or Ticket” initiatives, funded by federal highway safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
