From the Cororner:
The McHenry County Coroner, Dr. Michael Rein, announced that his office was contacted on November 13, 2024 by Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital ER to investigate the death of Douglas Webster, age 54 of Woodstock.
Mr Webster’s apartment had become engulfed with a fire at 710 St. Johns Rd. in Woodstock.
Woodstock Fire and Rescue transported Mr. Webster to Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital ER and was pronounced deceased at around 11:45pm on November 12, 2024.
An autopsy is to be performed on November 15, 2024.
The Coroner’s Office is continuing to work collaboratively with Woodstock PD, Woodstock Fire and Rescue and the Illinois State Fire Marshal during this
investigation.
