Lake in the Hills Police Department releases speed enforcement numbers

Lake in the Hills, IL – On July 23rd the Lake in the Hills Police Department conducted a focused traffic safety campaign, reminding motorists to slow down to save lives.

The speed enforcement effort was conducted by the Lake in the Hills Police Department and other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois to reduce highway fatalities.

During this enforcement period, the Lake in the Hills Police Department issued:

  • 91 Speeding citations
  • 01 Failure to Signal citation
  • 04 Distracted Driving citations
  • 03 Expired Registration citations
  • 06 Operating Uninsured Vehicle citations
  • 01 Disobeyed Traffic Control Device citation

In addition to the above citations, Lake in the Hills Police conducted arrests for:

  • 03 No Valid Driver License
  • 03 Driving while License Suspended
  • 04 Speeding 26-34 mph over Posted Limit
  • 02 35 mph or more over Posted Limit

The speed enforcement effort was made possible by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
