It was so hot at the McHenry County Fair on Tuesday that the doors to the unairconditioned building were closed except for a two-foot opening.
I wondered it the building was even open, but entered and found a half a building of displays.
The biggest by far was a joint operation of environmental groups.
On the right was the Citizens Climate Lobby.

On the left side was a table for the McHenry County Conservation District.

In the middle, one can see displays for the Friend of Hackmatack and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

Here’s a view that takes in some of the middle.

Next to the Citizens Climate Lobby table is the section for Friends of Volo Bog.

Here are the volunteers ready to greet the public.
