Dump Truck Rollover Causes Extended Road Closure on Route 120
On Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:10 a.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the 10100 block of W. Route 120 in unincorporated Woodstock for a reported crash with entrapment.

While crews were en route, additional information was received indicating a semi-truck had rolled over.

Crews arrived and located the crash along Route 120 between Fleming Road and Thompson Road, with complete lane blockage in both directions.

The truck had overturned and was laying on its side, spilling a load of milled asphalt across the roadway.

The driver was out of the vehicle prior to the arrival of emergency personnel and was not entrapped.
Due to the truck’s orientation, fluids had begun leaking from the vehicle but were quickly contained and did not pose an environmental concern.

The male driver was evaluated by paramedics on scene but refused any additional medical treatment.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District appreciates the assistance of personnel from the Marengo Fire & Rescue Districts at the scene.
The roadway is expected to remain closed for an extended period of time.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. Any additional questions regarding the investigation, including cause, fault, seat belt use, or speed, should be directed to their office.
