From the Huntley Fire Protection District:

On Saturday, March 28th ,2026 at 01:05 p.m. the Huntley Fire Protection District responded to a reported
structure fire at 6409 Suttondale road.

While crews were responding, additional information from 911 callers indicated that flames were visible, prompting an upgrade to a working fire response.
Firefighters arrived to find a small sized outbuilding structure fully involved in fire and approximately six
feet from two exposure buildings.
A quick-fire attack was performed successfully, and the incident was quickly downgraded to on scene Huntley personnel only.
The fire was contained to the original building of origin with minor exterior damage to the two exposure
buildings.
Additional mutual aid units were utilized for station coverage and no other responses occurred; fire
investigation is ongoing by Huntley Fire investigators and McHenry County Sheriff.
