It was a cold day with many demonstrators wearing coats and gloves.
Plenty of normal people attended, but one sign a Friend of McHenry County Blog sent me raised deeper questions:
“The Democratic Socialists of America” sign in McHenry at the “No Kings” demonstration certainly indicates some really leftwing people were involved.
A good crowd turned out.
Two of the signs here reference the Epstein Files.
Echoing the “Lock her up” of the 2016 Presidential campaign is this representation of Donald Trump in prison stripes.
I have no idea what this blow-up dragon references, the the sign next to it says, “Demand 25 for 47.” Below it is one with the name “FRED crossed out–another mystery to me.
“Immigrants – You’re Going To Miss Them When Their Gone” is on the sign in the middle.
“No Wars, No ICE, No Kings” circles around a peace sign. Next to it is a blow-up saying, “ALL OF MY OUTRAGE WON’T FIT ON ONE SIGN.”
The sign in the center references Congress, but I can’t make out the message.
This looks like a recruitment palm card. A good idea for those behind the demonstration.
