Rep. Keicher’s Summer Internship Now Accepting Resumes
SYCAMORE – State Representative Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) is seeking hard-working and passionate summer interns. If you are outgoing, organized, engaged and want to experience working in a state legislative office, this may be the opportunity for you. This paid internship is a selective program that will provide high school and college students with the opportunity to experience state legislative work. The position is primarily based out of the District Office located in Sycamore, but may involve work at the satellite office in Hampshire, as well as throughout other parts of the 70th House District.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Constituent services – correspondence, casework, surveys
- Researching issues and assisting with drafting bills
- Participate in events on behalf of the Representative
- Engaging with local nonprofits, civic organizations and community outreach
Requirements:
- College student or recent graduate, Junior/Senior high school student or recent graduate
- Current valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Interest in state government
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
The summer internship program will run from June 1 to August 15, 2026. Interns will be paid $17.50 per hour.
