When that didn’t work out and he saw that no one had filed for the Republican nomination for State Treasurer, he stepped forward.
Solomon needs 5,000 write-in votes to get on the fall ballot.
That’s the same number which any statewide candidate needs to gather to gain a ballot potition.
This is the first time in my memory, no one filed for the Republican nomination for State Treasurer.
That is a reflection of the decline of the GOP.
