LTC (Ret) Michael Pierce Calls for passage of the SAVE ACT
Naperville, IL – LTC (Ret) Michael Pierce, candidate for Congress in the 11th District, says one of the most important rights of Americans is the right to vote and it is time to secure our elections by passing the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act.
The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act has successfully passed the House and is now awaiting a vote in the Senate. Pierce said the SAVE Act is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our electoral process.
“Protecting our elections should transcend party lines,” Pierce said. “Ensuring safe and secure elections is a fundamental responsibility that every American – Republican or Democrat – should prioritize. There is no justification for not requiring voters to present some form of ID at the polls. This is an issue that garners broad bipartisan support, with approximately 80% of Americans in favor of this proposal. It is time for the Senate to act decisively and pass the SAVE Act.”

LTC (retired) Mike Pierce, PhD is a resident of Naperville. He graduated North Central College and went in to the Army, first as a Chaplain Assistant, and later on earned his commission in the Signal Corps, after completing Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia in April 1994. After 20 serving years, he retired from the Army in 2012 and continued to work at U.S. European Command and U.S. AFRICOM as a DOD Contractor in exercise planning, assessment, and functional analysis of critical infrastructure.
LTC (ret) Pierce earned a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership during which time he published the “Overlord Effect” detailing World War II General’s battle styles at Normandy. He has also founded a non-profit called New Horizons for Heroes to build a retreat center for Veterans suffering from PTSD. Mike is a married father of four, and grandfather to three.
