Jim Oberweis and Catalina Lauf moved from Illinois to Florida.
Why run for Congress in Illinois’ against Democratic Party incumbents in marginal districts when you can run in Florida in a solidly Republican district?
Oberweis and Lauf apparently made that decision.
Here are the donations, loans, expenditures and remaining resources can be seen below:

There are fifteen Republican candidates.
Putting another two million in his campaign fund, Oberweis remains with the most money available–$2.9 million.
A radio station owner, Jim Schwartzel is second with $1.3 million.
Third is another transplant, Madison Cawthorn. He has almost $430,000. He served in Congress one term and was defeated in the next Republican primary.
Lauf is fourth, having almost $216.0
Ola Hawatmeh comes next with just over $181,000. She ran a losing campaign for the Republican nomination for Congress in a New York district.
The other five who have registered with the Federal Elections Commission have tiny amounts.
And there are five more who say they are running.
John Strand hasn’t run for Congress before, but was a J6 prisoner.
Ex NY-27 Congressman Chris Collins in NY state and moved to Marco Island after getting out of prison (Trump pardon). He did not file an FEC campaign disclosure report because he formally submitted his candidacy to FEC after the first of the year.
Also, The Conservative Record, on their Facebook page, reported this morning ex NY-27 Congressman Chris Collins of Marco Island is planning at least $500K worth of TV ad buys for the Super Bowl and the Olympics. Those ad buys are not reflected on the grid.
