From Jeanne Ives’ Breakthrough Ideas:
People have asked my opinion on a number of races. Here is who I am voting for in the Governor’s race and why.I’m voting for Ted Dabrowski and Carrie Mendoza for Governor and Lt. Governor. I know Ted very well. There’s no one more qualified to lead this state than Ted Dabrowski. I have been working with Ted on Illinois policies for over a decade. He knows the issues and the solutions, and on day one, Ted will expose and then undo decades of misspending and mismanagement of our tax dollars. Ted and his running mate, Dr. Carrie Mendoza, will also expose and stop the insane DEI and trans-ideology that has infected our schools. I trust them to restore parental rights and high standards in education so every child has a path to achieving their dreams Ted is principled and has been involved across the state, informing voters and standing up for taxpayers for 15 years. I know Bailey, Del Mar, and Mendrick well, and I’ve seen politicians like Rick Heidner. Darren Bailey had an opportunity to win in 2018 with $50 million spent on his behalf or by him. He was within 5% of Pritzker in September and then lost by 13%. He lost the suburbs by 35%. He has not changed his consultants or his campaign team, and outside helpers and donors from 2018 are not supporting him this time – in fact, they have moved to supporting Dabrowski. He isn’t raising the money to win either. And his running mate is a bully. Del Mar is a transactional politician who will make a deal to save his interests every time. Last year, as Palatine Township Republican Organization leader, he betrayed his members and worked with Democrats to put together a township slate that included Democrats just so he could save his taxpayer-funded job as highway commissioner. The Democrats then didn’t run their own slate. Read the story here: https://www.breakthrough-ideas.com/read/2024/11/15/aaron-del-mar-betrays-republicans-concocts-shared-power-agreement-w-democrats Sheriff Mendrick is a good man. He has no ability to raise the money necessary to win against Pritzker. With someone who has higher political ambitions, it would have been nice to see him involved earlier in other critical issues facing taxpayers and parents in Illinois. No comments prior to running on social issues, pensions, property taxes, and more. Rick Heidner will sell out taxpayers to special interests. How do I know? He has a history of supporting Democrats to curry favor with them for his own businesses. Screenshots below from the Illinois State Board of Elections reporting system on contributions.

Heidner talks tough on stage about getting rid of the sanctuary law and SAFE-T Acts, but he donated to Kim Foxx’s campaign – literally helping her get into office. I don’t know any other Republican who donated to Foxx. He’s trying to play dumb now on the donation.

He gave Brandon Johnson $25,000 in 2023, less than three years ago, to pay off campaign debt so he could get an appointment with him to discuss bringing his businesses to Chicago. Heidner literally said so on the debate stage at the Tazewell County Republican forum. He complains about property taxes, but donated to Toni Preckwinkle, who has been controlling the Cook County system for decades. He talks about corruption, but donated to Madigan’s machine, Daley, Rahm, and other Democrats. Heidner also has no idea about the depth of Illinois problems and the root causes of such. Ask him to explain with any specificity the pension issue, the education funding formula, which is a failure, anything about higher education, how the department of corrections, human services, or any agency is run. He wouldn’t know where to begin. Also, Heidner is just the type of guy to sell out to the progressive Left on every social issue.
