From the Coroner:
McHenry County Coroner, Dr. Michael Rein, announced that his office was contacted on January 19, 2026 by McHenry County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the death of Robert Morris, age 50, of Wonder Lake.
Mr. Morris was discovered off the road in his vehicle at around the 7700 block of Howe Rd. in Wonder Lake. An autopsy was performed on Thursday January 22.
Preliminary findings show blunt force injuries.
Toxicology is currently pending. The Coroner’s Office is continuing to work collaboratively with the McHenry County Sheriff and Wonder Lake Fire Department during this investigation.
