From the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District:
Forklift Incident on Washington Street
On January 21, 2026, at 8:23 a.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the 14400 block of Washington Street in unincorporated Woodstock for a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment.
While crews were en route, additional information clarified that the incident was not a vehicle crash but involved a forklift-related injury.
Firefighters and paramedics arrived on scene and were directed to a garage on the property where an injured adult male was located.

Crews learned that the man had fallen from a forklift and sustained a traumatic head injury.
He was not pinned or trapped beneath the forklift.
Paramedics immediately began providing care and, due to the severity of the injuries, determined that air medical transport was necessary.

The patient was transported by ambulance to the Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital helipad, where a medical helicopter transported him to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, a Level 1 trauma center.

Although the initial address was associated with Alvarez Tires & Auto Repair, the incident involved a separate party on the property and was not affiliated with the business.
No further information is available at this time.
