“It was bittersweet seeing Chief Nathan Hayes get sworn in as Cary’s new police chief.
Cary Mayor Mark Kownik swears in Nathan Hayes as Police Chief with the Chief’s wife Amy at his side.
“In his nearly 5 years in Marengo Chief Hayes quickly became part of the Marengo Community.
“He could be seen doing everything from administrative police work, patrol work and Uneven spotted him providing traffic control for Public Works.
“He was in the dunk tank at Marengo Park District Day in the Park and judges the Animal Parade at Settler’s Day.
“Chief Hayes recently worked closely with the Park District to update an old IGA between the City and Park District where Marengo Police can enforce Park District ordinances and rules.
