While en route, additional information was received indicating that a fire had occurred in the living room of the home.
Firefighters arrived on scene and observed nothing showing from a two-story farmhouse.

The homeowner reported that the fire had been extinguished prior to the arrival of fire crews.
Firefighters made entry into the residence and located the area of concern inside the living room, which was in close proximity to a wood burning stove.
Crews ventilated the home and confirmed that no active fire remained.
The residence was not damaged and remains habitable.
An adult male occupant of the home was evaluated on scene for smoke inhalation.
He declined additional medical treatment and refused transport to the hospital.
The Harvard Fire Protection District would like to remind residents that all heat sources, including wood burning stoves, fireplaces, and space heaters, require proper clearance. Combustible items such as furniture, decorations, firewood, and other household belongings should be kept at least three feet away from any heat source to reduce the risk of fire.
