McHenry, IL — The GOP Voter Information Project (GOPVIP) will host the Illinois Governor Voter Information Forum on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in McHenry, Illinois, providing Northern Illinois
voters with a rare opportunity to hear directly from Republican gubernatorial candidates ahead of the
March 17, 2026 Republican Primary.
The forum will take place at The Vixen in McHenry and is designed for voters who want to be Vote
Informed – Vote Like a VIP —citizens seeking clear, direct information from candidates without filters or spin.
Campaigns competing in the Republican primary for Governor of Illinois have been invited to participate.
Doors will open at 3:30 p.m., with the forum beginning promptly at 4:00 p.m.
A meet-and-greet with candidates and campaign representatives will follow the forum at approximately 6:30 p.m., offering attendees and members of the press the opportunity for informal conversation and
interviews.
“For years, I have worked to make sure that I sit down with all of the candidates on my ballot and ask
them important questions,” said Erik Sivertsen, one of the founders of GOPVIP.
“This forum is about providing that same direct access to the candidates who will be on your ballot so that you can be an informed voter—and hear them answer your biggest questions.”
The event is open to the press, and media representatives are encouraged to attend. Interview
opportunities will be available during the post-forum meet-and-greet session.
