From the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District:

Barn Fire on Stieg Road; No Animal Injuries

On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 2:50pm, the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was dispatched to the 3300 block of Stieg Road near Charlotte Drive in unincorporated Woodstock for a reported barn fire with possible horses inside.

Firefighters arrived a short time later and observed light smoke coming from a small open horse style barn with no visible fire or exterior damage.

Firefighters quickly made contact with the property owner, who advised that he had extinguished the fire prior to the arrival of fire crews.

Crews entered the barn and confirmed heavy fire damage throughout the interior.

No active fire was found, only a smoldering structure. Several horses were located in an adjacent pasture and were not injured.

No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.

The fire remains under investigation by the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District.
