Algonquin Structure Fire
At approximately 5:59 a.m., the Algonquin–Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District was dispatched to the 800 block of Oceola Drive in Algonquin for a reported fire in the front yard
Fire crews arrived on scene at 6:04 a.m. and noted live wires in the front yard arcing.
Crews took a defensive posture until Com Ed secured the live wires and then extinguished a small fire outside of the garage and ventilated the home.
Fire investigators remained on scene to conduct an investigation. The estimated loss has not yet been determined.
Lake In The Hills Structure Fire
At approximately 5:50 p.m., the Algonquin–Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District was dispatched to the 200 block of Apache Trail in Lake in the Hills for a reported structure fire.
Fire suppression crews arrived on scene at 5:54 p.m. and were directed to the rear of a single-family home that was under construction, where they encountered a small fire.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire and checked the structure for any extension.
Fire investigators remained on scene to conduct an investigation. The estimated loss has not yet been determined.
