Thanksgiving enforcement numbers
The Crystal Lake Police Department conducted a traffic safety campaign through December 2nd reminding motorists to buckle up and drive sober.
The “Click It or Ticket” and “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” mobilization was conducted by the Crystal Lake Police Department and other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois to reduce highway fatalities.
During the campaign, the Crystal Lake Police Department made 28 traffic stops. Additionally, the
Department issued:
19 speeding citations
1 open alcohol citations
2 distracted driving citations
4 driver’s license violations
1 operation of motor vehicle with suspended registration citation
2 lane violation citations
5 operation of uninsured vehicle citations
The Thanksgiving enforcement effort is made possible by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
