From the State’s Attorney:
COURT GRANTS STATE’S ATTORNEY’S OFFICE’S PETITION TO DETAIN MAN FOR POSSESSION WITH THE INTENT TO DELIVER METHAMPHETAMINE
McHenry County State’s Attorney Randi Freese announced today that the Honorable Judge Cynthia Lamb granted the State’s motion to deny pretrial release for Brandon Miller, 36, of Woodstock, Illinois.

Miller appeared in Initial Appearance Court on December 1, 2025, charged with Unlawful Possession with the Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a class X felony, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class 4 felony.
Evidence was presented in court this afternoon that, on or about November 30, 2025, a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle Miller was driving by a Richmond Police officer.
Miller initially provided a false name to the officer based on the outstanding warrant for Miller’s arrest.
During the search of Miller’s vehicle, a small portable scale, plastic baggies, numerous needles, 3.1 grams of cocaine, and 19.6 grams of methamphetamine was found.
At the hearing on the State’s Petition to Deny Pretrial Release, Judge Lamb found that there were no conditions or combinations of conditions that the court could impose to keep the community safe based on dangerousness as well as finding that there were no conditions that could mitigate the risk of willful flight that Miller poses.
Miller’s next court appearance is scheduled for December 9, 2025, in courtroom 304.
Members of the public are reminded that this complaint contains only charges and is not proof of the defendant’s guilt. A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
