The gerrymandered 9th Congressional District runs from the north side of Chicago to my front lawn in Lakewood.

Even though there is no chance that a Republican could win in November of next year, there are four seeking the GOP nomination.
Candidate Rocio Cleveland gained free publicity by handing items in a prison gift bag to Democrat Kat Abughazaleh, indicted for her actions outside the ICE Detention Center in Maywood.
Now, Cleveland gained an echo in a Daily Herald editorial criticizing her action.
Note, however, Cleveland’s name was not put in the paper’s headline.
It was inappropriate for to point out that Kat might go to jail and it was really inappropriate to give her “Holy Water,’ saying she was possessed.
So, Cleveland’s campaigh stunt was inappropriate, but the multiple stunts pulled by Kat’s interaction with ICE was not.
No matter.
There is no way the Daily Herald will endorse a Republican in the 9th District.
