Rollover Vehicle Crash on Kishwaukee Valley Road

On Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 9:23 a.m., the Marengo Fire and Rescue Districts responded to the area of Kishwaukee Valley Road and Oleson Road in unincorporated Marengo for a reported rollover vehicle crash with entrapment.

While responding, additional information was received indicating that a male occupant was unable to free himself from the vehicle.

A medical helicopter was placed on standby pending further assessment.

Crews arrived on scene and located a sport utility vehicle on its roof near the intersection.

A large tree had been struck and was down.

The male driver was outside the vehicle upon arrival, and paramedics quickly completed an evaluation.

The helicopter was stood down following the brief assessment. 

The adult male patient was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with moderate but non-life-threatening injuries.

He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Kishwaukee Valley Road remained open throughout the incident.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. Any additional questions related to the investigation, including the cause of the crash, contributing factors, seat belt use, or speeds involved, should be directed to their office.
