Talk about a fall from grace.
Nick Kachirouibas was elected Student Trustee of McHenry County College, then ran successfully in an uncontested race for McHenry County College Trustee.
Running for re-election, he lost (due to his last name, I believe).
He served as an appointed Republican Precinct Committeeman.
He ran and was elected Crystal Lake City Clerk ib 2009. Again, no opposition.
He served on the Illinois Community College Board, but was removedby Governor JB Pritzker after his arrest.
He earned his Ph.D. and taught at DePaul University. leading groups of students to Ireland during some summers.
In June of last year, Kachirouibas was arrested for child porn and grooming.
On the day set for sentencing earlier this fall, Kachirouibas requested a jury trial, giving him more time as a free man.
