From the McHenry Township Fire Protection District:
At approximately 2:20 a.m. today, the McHenry Township Fire Protection District (MTFPD) responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed and rolled over, with a person trapped, in the 900 Block of Center Street in the city of McHenry.

Crews arrived on the scene within three minutes to find a vehicle had crashed into a tree and
rolled over into a resident’s front yard.
The vehicle was on fire and spreading to the residence it was up against.
The response was immediately upgraded to a structure fire, bringing in additional personnel.
MTFPD crews quickly deployed a hose line to protect the residence.
Simultaneously, fire crews checked the building for occupants and for the vehicle driver.
Fire crews met with a McHenry Police officer at the front door of the house, who had gone inside to evacuate the sole occupant of the house.
The building occupant was safely removed without injury.
The vehicle was checked, and nobody was located in or around it.
The fire was extinguished within ten minutes.
The interior of the residence had minor damage, but two windows needed to be boarded up.
The building is still habitable. McHenry Police located a person who was not at the fire scene, who had minor injuries related to this incident.
MTFPD transported that individual to Northwestern Hospital McHenry in good condition.
McHenry Police and MTFPD fire investigators were on the scene to investigate the incident.
A damage estimate is not available.
