Incident: Death Investigation – Update
The Harvard Police Department, in conjunction with the McHenry County Major Investigative Assistance Team (MIAT), continues to diligently investigate the tragic incident that occurred on Monday, October 6, 2025, in the 700 block of North Division Street (Route 14).
Our thoughts remain with the families and all those affected as the investigation moves forward.
The investigation remains active as investigators await the McHenry County Coroner’s final report and the review and processing of additional evidentiary items.
At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no evidence to suggest that there is any danger or threat to the public.
The department remains committed to keeping the community informed and will provide updates as the investigation allows.
The department appreciates the community’s patience and understanding as the investigative process continues.
